The Joy we must feel as Jamaicans

Just when we show the world yes! we are indeed icons

Our Strength, determination and our swag

Is like no other

Yes! A new love, respect, and admiration

That is now our nation Given to

A little island in the sun we are

Yet our athletes tek it to dem like stars

What great fete we can ACCOMPLISH When We as a people rise from the past of slavery and colonialism

As our athletes dominate the games with strength of character and vanish all the Doubts and scars of the past

Beaming with pride, love, and untainted excitement, we Jamaicans know the world has not seen our last.

We WEIR The armor of Persistence, and Courage and

Stand as Greater BEAST among many nations

And Like a Bolt of LIGHTENING They Were Struck with awe at our strength and speed.
